Build models with AI. Directly in Excel.
The Risk Kit Skill gives Claude for Excel and Microsoft Copilot in Excel the knowledge of Risk Kit. You describe your model and the business context in your own words. The AI assistant builds a Monte Carlo model from it with the right Risk Kit functions.

How you work with the skill.
You focus on the business question, your assumptions and your decision. The AI assistant takes care of the Risk Kit syntax.
1
Build a Risk Kit model for a product launch with sales, price and costs. Use plausible example values. Profit is the target.
Describe your model.
Explain the business context in natural language: which quantities interact, which assumptions apply, what is uncertain and which results you need.

The AI builds the Risk Kit model.

Risk Kit simulates and analyses.
Risk Kit runs the Monte Carlo simulation in Excel. You analyse the results as usual with risk figures, sensitivities and charts.
The skill ships with Risk Kit 9.0 and is located in the installation directory. It is available to all Risk Kit users, including those with a trial licence.
How do I install the skill?
After installing Risk Kit, you will find the skill in the ‘Skill’ subfolder of the installation folder, once as the folder ‘risk-kit’ and once as the ZIP file ‘risk-kit.skill.zip’. How you set it up depends on your AI assistant.
To open the installation folder, click ‘Config’ in the Risk Kit toolbar, then the ‘General’ tab and the ‘Folders’ section.
For Copilot in Excel, Risk Kit sets up the skill with a single click.
Click ‘Tools’ in the Risk Kit toolbar and then ‘Install the skill for Copilot’. Risk Kit copies the skill to the folder ‘Copilot\Microsoft Excel\skills’ in your Documents folder on OneDrive.
Restart Excel.
Open Copilot with the Copilot button. In current versions it sits in a corner of the worksheet, in older versions on the ‘Home’ tab.
Describe what you want to model, for example: ‘Build a Risk Kit model of a project budget with materials, staff and delay costs. Use plausible example values. What budget is enough with 95% certainty?’
The skill has its own terms of use in the file LICENSE.txt. Anyone with a valid Risk Kit license, including a trial license, may use it for their own work with Risk Kit, also within their organization. Passing it on to third parties outside the organization is not permitted.
The skill ships with Risk Kit. Try Risk Kit free for 30 days.
